CuraSwing

App-supported movement feedback as music

CuraSwing brings new swing to walking!

CuraSwing translates the swinging of the arms while walking into music and thus stimulates the entire movement sequence. At first, only a soft chord sequence is heard. The rhythmic stimulation starts as the arms begin to swing while walking. It is only as the arm swing increases that stimulating music gradually unfolds. More and more instruments, rhythmic elements and finally a melody are added.

Larger and faster movements automatically increase the musical intensity in real time. The intuitive musical feedback in combination with rhythmic-auditory stimulation encourages a lively rhythmic gait pattern.

CuraSwing was developed with the support of leading neurological and music therapy experts at the Parkinson's Center Beelitz-Heilstätten / Germany. The app is specially tailored to the needs of people with limited mobility and lack of movement (e.g. with Parkinson's or orthopaedic complaints). This innovative form of musical biofeedback is based on neuroscientific research.
